Investment Strategies the Tortoise and Hare Live By
The world of investments can sometimes seem like an overwhelming concept for those who are new to it. When the Tortoise and the Hare decided to start investing their hard-earned money, they had a lot to learn. While the pair is enjoying their newfound ability on potentially increase their net worth, they are also learning some valuable lessons while they are exploring investment strategies. Here are some of the lessons they learned about smart investments:
Patience is Key
While Tortoise understands the concept of “slow and steady”, the Hare struggled in not rushing into things with his investments and become frustrated when nothing appears to be happening immediately. Keeping your expectations realistic when it comes to the time, length, and potential growth of each stock is key.
Get to Know the Business
The Tortoise and Hare had to put on their reading glasses and do a little research before they started putting money into stocks. It’s important not to invest in business models that you don’t fully understand. While you still want to build a diversified portfolio, you should still thoroughly research and understand each company that the stocks represent.
Leverage a Professional
The Tortoise eventually convinced the Hare to find a stock broker that could help them make wise choices. After all, better safe than sorry! Stock brokers are an especially important part of any stocks decisions you want to make, no matter the size. The Tortoise and Hare understand now that having a professional in your corner can help you make better decisions.
The Tortoise and the Hare still have much to learn when it comes to investment strategies, but they are well on their way to investing thanks to these three lessons.
